Social Media Tips & Tricks

We recommend going live to talk to your friends, family and fans about what you're making. They'll be instantly notified and can watch the recording later if they missed it live.

Going Live on Facebook:

  1. Tap “What's on your mind” at the top of News Feed.

  2. Select “Live Video” from the dropdown menu.

  3. Add a description and choose your audience.

  4. Tap "Go Live."

We recommend that you have a strong signal (e.g., WiFi) when going live.

Streaming on YouTube:

Before you can start streaming on YouTube you'll need to have your account verified. You can do that here and it will take at least 24 hours, so plan ahead!

If you have followers on another platform (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), don't forget to tell them that you're about to stream.

Going Live on Instagram:

  1. Tap in the top left of the screen or swipe right from anywhere in Feed.

  2. Tap Live at the bottom of the screen

  3. Tap Start Live Video.

If you have an IGTV channel or want to create one, you can find instructions for doing this here

Creating Live Videos on Twitter:

  1. Tap the 'compose' icon

  2. Tap the 'live video' icon

Don't forget to tag @warchildcan so we can give you a Like and RT.

Broadcasting on Twitch:

If you've never broadcasted on Twitch before, review their basic broadcast requirements.

Sharing on Snapchat:

While Snapchat doesn't have a live streaming option, you can tell your friends to keep an eye out for your event at a certain time. Encourage them to send you snaps, and keep the content flowing.
